School Counselor

It is my pleasure to serve as a School Counselor at both Richards and Cumberland.  My role is basically to do whatever I can to advocate for students and to help give them the support they need to thrive personally, socially, emotionally, and academically.  As such, I teach lessons in the classroom, and I meet with students both one-on-one and in small group.  I also participate in leadership opportunities in the building to help make sure our policies and procedures are equitable.

In terms of my background, I graduated with my teaching degree in 2003 from Marquette University, and I taught High School English until May of 2016.  I received my Master's in School Counseling in 2015, also from Marquette.  The 2016-2017 school year will be my first in this new role, and I am so excited to be entering this new stage in my career in such a phenomenal district!

Please feel free to contact me at any time with any concerns you have or anything that I can do to help your student be successful.  Though I am primarily responsible for grades K5, 2, and 4, I am willing to discuss the needs of any student at any time.  Thank you for the honor of getting to work with such wonderful students!
