Bullying is not tolerated at CumberlandSchool. Students learn about bullying, both verbal and physical, including how to identify it, deal with it, and the importance of reporting bullying, through lessons included in the health and guidance curricula. Teachers provide or participate in these lessons so they are aware of our expectations related to bullying. If a student is referred to the office because of bullying, s/he receives a consequence and parents are generally contacted. Repeated infractions result in serious consequences, which may include loss of recess privileges or suspension either in or out of school. If you believe your child is being bullied, please call your child's teacher, the guidance counselor or principal immediately
