Counseling and Guidance

Counseling services are available for all students and are an integral part of the total school program. The counselor's work with students, teachers, administrators, and parents in a variety of ways with the goal of helping students reach their full potential.

Our guidance counselors help to facilitate student growth by:

  1. Coordinating and participating in the classroom guidance program
  2. Working with children individually and in small groups on social/emotional issues
  3. Consulting with staff members regarding student needs
  4. Working with parents to increase student success and providing referrals when needed
  5. Serving on the Collaborative Intervention Teams to provide support for "at risk" students
  6. Consulting with Special Education and Beyond Staff
  7. Providing support to students with academic concerns as well as gifted and talented needs
  8. Coordinating the Peer Mediation program
