Lunch
For safety, school personnel need to be able to account for all students' whereabouts during the lunch period. Students may stay at school or go home for the lunch period. Students will be allowed to leave school grounds during lunch only with a parent/guardian's written permission. Please complete and return to your child's teacher the lunch plans for your child included in the registration packet.

While in the lunchroom, students eat together as a class, and are supervised by adults. Because of the extreme crowding, students need to be on their best behavior during lunchtime, and are expected to thoroughly clean up after themselves. All students should observe common courtesy and good manners. Cafeteria offenses will result in the student helping to clean up the cafeteria during lunch hour or after school or missing recess.

There is no hot lunch provided. Soup or pasta is available from a vending machine. However, it often takes children almost the entire lunch hour to get to the front of the vending machine line to get food. And, it is not uncommon for the machine to get jammed or run out of the item your child wants to have. It is best, therefore, to send lunch with your child. Please help your child make healthy choices for lunch, and do not include soda or lunch packs with soda.
