Playground rules and procedures help provide a safe environment within which students can enjoy themselves and contribute to the well being and safety of themselves and others. Supervision is provided by paid staff, including parents, aides, and teachers. The expectations for behavior while at recess are:

• Cooperate at all times with supervisors
• Follow directions the first time given
• Show respect for others in words and actions
• Use playground equipment safely as intended
• Avoid rough or dangerous play
• Stay within designated areas. The prairie garden is off limits unless classes are with a teacher
• Students should not go closer to Ardmore than the small storage building
• No throwing of snow or snowballs
• Common sense rule: for situations not directly addressed here, students are expected to behave safely & courteously in all situations.
