Snacks
We recognize that many students need a nutritional snack during the morning in order to optimize their learning capabilities. A brief time (approximately ten minutes) will be allowed in each grade 1-5 classroom during which the students can eat a snack if they choose to do so. The students will continue to be involved in class activities or individual work as they are eating their snacks. We ask that parents send a nutritious snack that can be eaten as finger food without being too messyNo beverages or gum are allowed.
Suggested snack foods:
Crackers, fresh fruits and vegetables, raisins, pretzels, popcorn, shelled peanuts, cheese.
