Dear Fourth Grader,
Hello and welcome to the beginning of a wonderful adventure and exploration in fourth grade. First off, I hope your summer has been relaxing and enjoyable, and I hope you are eager and ready to start the school year in September. Second, let me introduce myself. My name is Mr. Burgos and I will be your teacher this year.
Just to give you an idea about me, I love swimming, running, traveling, watching movies, and eating cookie dough. I did my first half Ironman this summer and plan to do a full Ironman next year if all goes well. I also speak Spanish, so I am very excited to practice my Spanish with you in class.
This year will be filled with many opportunities for everyone to learn, grow, and have fun. This year we will read many exciting books (you will find out that I am a huge history fan). We will become scientists, archeologists, explorers, reporters, and authors, just to name a few of the roles we will take on this year. We will play games, learn how to work together, become great listeners, and leaders.
So enjoy the last couple of weeks of vacation and come with your smile and an attitude ready to learn. I look forward to meeting you on the first day of school.
