The business education curriculum prepares the student for college and/or entry into the world of work. The business education student is asked to utilize the same skills that will be required in college and/or work.
Those skills include:
- Attending class regularly, arriving on time and bringing a readiness to learn.
- Organizing class materials in a 2 or 3 inch binder to file and review handouts and previous tests.
- Learning basic terms and concepts as well as critically thinking about relationships and outcomes.
- Completing assigned daily work on a timely basis and fully meeting expectations or rubric requirements.
- Working positively in teams to complete various assigned activities.
- Demonstrating subject matter competence through various tests, projects and other forms of assessments.
- Participating in class discussions and asking questions.
- Taking advantage of field trips and classroom guest speakers.
- Practicing the "soft" skills such as common courtesy and respect for all.
