The Wisconsin Towns Association is a non-profit association of town and village officials promoting education for local government officials throughout the state.  All students graduating from a Wisconsin high school and planning to attend a Wisconsin public or private college or vocational college are eligible to submit an essay on the topic below. 

Scholarship Essay Requirements:

1.  Entrants must prepare an essay addressing the following topic:  "What is the appropriate role of recall elections at the state and local levels?"

2.  The printed (not handwritten) essay should be between 500-1,000 words and double spaced.

3.  The completed essay should be postmarked no later than May 30, 2012 and mailed to:

4.  Essay must include a bibliographic listing of sources used.
