Drama Club is dedicated to producing plays and performances at WFBHS within an educational theater framework. We believe students who participate in drama learn the following:
Oral communication skills Motivation The ability to work independently
Initiative Acceptance of rules Respect for co-workers Adaptability A healthy self-image Self-discipline Concentration A willingness to accept responsibility Creative problem-solving abilities A willingness to work cooperatively Time-budgeting skills Promptness or respect for deadlines The ability to learn quickly Respect for authority The ability to work under pressure Acceptance of disappointment A goal-oriented approach to work Dedication Leadership skills Confidence
The club presents straight plays in early November and early May. The yearly musical is staged in March. Students participate in the Wisconsin High School One-Act Play competition in the fall, and the high school's Variety Show is produced by Drama Club in December. In addition to these performance opportunities, the club is affilliated with the International Thespian Society (Troupe 1862) which seeks to provide additional theater experiences for students to witness and/or produce. All students are invited to join Drama Club to participate on stage or backstage
