Drama Club

Drama Club is dedicated to producing plays and performances at WFBHS within an educational theater framework.  We believe students who participate in drama learn the following:
Oral communication skills    Motivation   The ability to work independently
Initiative     Acceptance of rules   Respect for co-workers   Adaptability   A healthy self-image   Self-discipline    Concentration    A willingness to accept responsibility    Creative problem-solving abilities     A willingness to work cooperatively    Time-budgeting skills     Promptness or respect for deadlines     The ability to learn quickly    Respect for authority    The ability to work under pressure   Acceptance of disappointment   A goal-oriented approach to work    Dedication    Leadership skills    Confidence

The club presents straight plays in early November and early May.  The yearly musical is staged in March.  Students participate in the Wisconsin High School One-Act Play competition in the fall, and the high school's Variety Show is produced by Drama Club in December.  In addition to these performance opportunities, the club is affilliated with the International Thespian Society (Troupe 1862) which seeks to provide additional theater experiences for students to witness and/or produce.  All students are invited to join Drama Club to participate on stage or backstage
