Week 2


Attention 8th grade students! If  you have not  had your picture taken for the 8th grade promotion celebration, report to Mr. Trask in the new gym or Mr. Joynt in room 17  immediately after announcements.

Relay for life is May 31st from 7:00pm – 10:30pm. Please rip off the link on the signs in your grade’s commons. If you have any questions, please contact Vlada Kot, Paige Anderson, Joseph Brousseau, or Liz Murphy. Thanks for your support!

Congratulations goes out to the girls softball team on their victory over Brown Deer last evening 5-4. Great job, girls!
Thank you for all who submitted speeches for this year's 8th grade promotion ceremony. After careful consideration, the following people will be reading their speeches: Grace D'Souza and Jenn McNeill will give the welcome speech, Andrew Green will give the reflection speech. Katie Brophy and Callie Donovan will be the emcees for the event. Please see Mr. Pontus to set times to work on practicing your speeches.

Week 2


There will be no lunch in the media center today or tomorrow.

Run the Bay is this Saturday! If you  missed signing up online, you may register race day, this Saturday, May 18th at the HS from 7:30 a.m.-8:30 a.m. Also, Volunteers needed for the event. See Mr. Collins room 112 for questions and information about the race. Come out and  represent the Middle School & Run or Walk the Bay!

All 8th grade girls interested in going out for the high school girls swimming team in the fall please come to the information  meeting  TODAY  at 3:05 in the Center Gym.

Week 2


There will be an extra women’s choir practice tomorrow morning at 7:15am.

Congratulations to all 6th,7th and 8th grade band members on your Band-O-Rama concert last night. You were a huge musical hit to the community. UW- Madison Varsity band Director, Mr. Leckrone, said you sounded great. Way to go!
 

Attention all students who ride their bicycles to school: Bikes can  not be locked up along the fence outside of the new gymnasium exit doors. This path  is considered a fire lane to be used during an emergency situation.

8th graders, do you love to ski fast? If you are planning to join the Ski Race Team at the High School next winter, you will need to purchase a Sunburst Season Pass. Sunburst is now selling Individual Season Passes for $199. Prices will increase on June 1st, so consider buying your Sunburst pass in May. Please note that there is an additional $370 fee to join the WFB High School ski race team. Please see Coach Matt Skinner if you have questions

Any 8th grade student interested in trying out for cheerleading at the high school  next year should come to the tryouts in the Memorial gym  today from 3:30 to 5pm.  Bring athletic wear, tennis shoes, water and a healthy snack.

If you miss signing up online, you may register race day, this Saturday, May 18th at the HS from 7:30 a.m.-8:30 a.m. Also, Volunteers needed for the event. See Mr. Collins room 112 for questions and information about the race. Come out and represent the Middle School & Run or Walk the Bay!

Green Team will meet in the HS Community Garden for a work day tomorrow,  Wednesday.

Attention track team! Reminder that the meet today is at Nicolet , not Bayside. Contact your parents if you need to let them know.

The Band-O-Rama concert will be held in the HS Fieldhouse tonight at 7:30pm. Mr. Michael Leckrone , UWM  marching band director, will conduct the final piece, “On Wisconsin”, performed by the unified WFB bands grades 5-12. Come see and hear the excitement!
Men's choir will meet tomorrow, Wednesday,  at  7:15am  in the choir room.

Attention 8th grade girls! There will be a 10 minute informational meeting TODAY at 3:45 in The Link for anyone interested  in playing  girls volleyball  at the HS next year.

Attention Writers! Grab some paper and a pencil and head  up to the Whitefish Bay Middle School Library for WRITING CLUB today after school at 3:00. Bring any Works-in-Progress and creative ideas! Open to all.
