Sixth Annual Cindy Nelson Memorial Blood Drive
Thursday, March 18, 2010 – 2:00-6:00 PM Richards School Gym – 5812 N. Santa Monica Blvd.
Cindy Nelson was a much-loved teacher at RichardsSchool, who died as the result of a cardiac arrest in March of 2004. Cindy was a very loyal donor to the Blood Center of Wisconsin, and each year her friends and colleagues honor Cindy’s memory by organizing this drive and following her example.
We’d like to make this drive the most successful one ever! If you can help and would like to schedule an appointment, please call the Richards School Office at 963-3951. Walk-ins are also welcome.
Please join us in remembering a wonderful teacher and a dear friend.

Milton will be presenting "Nobody Wants Your Child". Milton will be looking at things parents do that make it difficult for their child to do well in adulthood: at work, in marriage, and in society in general. Milton will discuss the growing problem of lack of work ethic among the nation's youth and will provide a blue print to get kids on the right track for a successful life. His book "Nobody Wants Your Child" will be available for purchase following his presentation. Don’t miss this informative discussion by Milton Creagh. NOTES FROM THE PRINCIPAL
ALCOHOL, TOBACCO AND OTHER DRUG PREVENTION ASSEMBLY SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 16
Tuesday, March 16, Milton Creagh, will be addressing our student body for the purpose of deterring students from the use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. Milton comes highly recommended by both staff and students who have had recent occasion to see him speak at neighboring high schools. Students will begin the day in the new gym hearing his message and then move into STAR groups for a 25 minute reflection discussion and to provide feedback on how we may further address problems associated alcohol and drug use within our school community. It is my hope that this becomes a family discussion as we all understand the impact poor decision making can have on the life of child. It has a rippling effect!
