NOTES FROM THE PRINCIPAL
This week, our 8th graders completed their Forward Testing, the annual assessment given to students across the state of Wisconsin. Over the next few weeks, our 6th and 7th graders will take this test. We appreciate the support we get from our parents and families that encourage our students to do their absolute best on these assessments. We use the results of these exams for two reasons. The first is to identify trends across grade levels in student performance. For example, these results may tell us about standards that our students have mastered, and those we may need to focus on more. Another way we use these assessments is to compare individual students results with other data we have on students, such as the STAR assessment or class grades. We can identify students who might be in need of intervention or enrichment when we look at a multitude of data points.
Enjoy your long weekend!
