Thank you!
The Grow Your Classroom Library Book Drive was a great success! A huge thank you to all the families who purchased books and participated - both in the Boswell event and the online book drive. Many new titles are now available in our classroom libraries! Books are still trickling into the office this week. If you signed up online to purchase books and have not yet had a chance to drop them off, please drop them off in the office in the next few days. Questions? Please email Sarah Nowak at sarahzirbelnowak@gmail.com.

Volunteers Needed for the School-Wide Party!
We’re looking for a parent helper, or two, to assist in the planning and and execution of a school-wide party on May 25th. The party is a reward for students for their excellent behavior throughout the school year, or as it’s known at school, behaving, “The Richards Way.” There are staff members available to help and support you with the planning and implementation of the party. Plan on making yourself available for the majority of the school day on the 25th, there will likely also be a planning meeting or two leading up to the event. If you’re not available to help this year, but think this is something you might be interested in next year, please email Erica or Annie (email addresses below). The PTO will be forming a Richards Way Committee for 2018-2019 school year to help plan this event and other events like it. It’s a great way to get involved and work with Richards Staff and students outside of your child’s classroom.
For more information about the event, or to volunteer, please email Erica Silberman (erica.silberman@wfbschools.com) or Annie Miller (annie.miller@wfbschools.com).
Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week, May 7-11!
Each year there is one week we celebrate our Richards teachers, staff and crossing guards, to show them how much we appreciate all they do for our children. This year, Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week will be May 7-11 and the Richards PTO has exciting plans! Each day, the PTO plans a special activity, including breakfast, a catered lunch, gifts and sweet treats. Everyone gets excited for the daily raffle as well, and this is where we can use your help!
You should have received an orange colored flyer in your child's Thursday folder again last week with additional information on how you can help. If you did not receive the flyer or need another copy, see the link below or visit the PTO website. Thank you in advance for helping make Teacher and Staff Appreciation week a big success!
