Messages from Dr. Kasmarick
Can you believe it? Another school year in the books. Even the most veteran educators marvel at the amount of growth that elementary students make over the course of each year--socially, emotionally, and intellectually. It's a gift to experience and a joy to celebrate!
Summer is a time to recharge, enjoy time with family and friends, take in new experiences near and far, and increase our dosage of fresh air! It's also a wonderful time to curl up with a good book. A SHOUT OUT to Mrs. Roberts for putting these recommended reading lists together.

Parent Representatives Sought for Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Design Committee
Our district evaluates and improves every curricular subject area on a six to seven-year cycle through the work of curriculum review committees. While whole child development has always been a priority for our students, beginning in the fall of 2018, we will engage in a strategic, systematic approach involving district and school leaders, school staff, and parent/guardian/community representatives. Typically, during curriculum review and design committees, one or two parents/community members serve on each committee. Beginning in fall 2018, planning in the area of K–12th grade Social Emotional Learning will ensue. Please see attached overview and application.
