American Academy for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP): AACAP Resource Centers contains answers to frequently asked questions, clinical resources, expert videos, and abstracts from the JAACAP, Scientific Proceedings and Facts for Families relevant to each disorder.
Statewide Resource for Mental & Behavioral Health: The WI Children's Mental & Behavioral Health Navigator is a free, confidential, online tool of the Well Badger Resource Center. This tool is designed to help parents, caregivers, and professionals navigate mental and behavioral health services and support for children, adolescents, and young adults under the age of 21.
IMPACT 211: IMPACT 2-1-1 is a central access point for people in need. During times of personal crisis or community disaster, this free, confidential helpline and online resource directory make it easy for residents to get connected to information and assistance. Wraparound Milwaukee: Wraparound Milwaukee is a unique system of care for children with serious emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs and their families in Milwaukee County. Resource & Referral Line: 414-257-7607
Milwaukee Mobile Crisis Team: The Milwaukee Mobile Crisis team provides mental health crisis responses and intervention to individuals of all ages. Milwaukee County Crisis Line: 414-257-7222
Rogers Behavioral Health: Rogers Behavioral Health provides a continuum of treatment options to children, adolescents and families including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive-outpatient services. Request a free screening or call 800-767-4411, 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
Aurora Behavioral Health: Aurora Behavioral Health offers a continuum of treatment options including inpatient care for acute behavioral health issues, as well as structured partial hospitalization for more structured treatments, day treatment programs, and intensive outpatient programming. Craig Yabuki Mental Health Walk-In Clinic: Craig Yabuki Mental Health Walk-In Clinic provides same-day care for children and teens (ages 5-18) experiencing urgent mental health issues. National Alliance on Mental Ilness: The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) focus is on educating about mental illness and offering resources. NAMI offers a variety of education/training programs as well as services for individuals, family members, health care providers.
National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH): The mission of National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) is to transform the understanding and treatment of mental illnesses through basic and clinical research, paving the way for prevention, recovery, and cure. For the Institute to continue fulfilling this mission, it fosters innovative thinking and ensures that a full array of novel scientific perspectives are used to further discovery in the evolving science of brain, behavior, and experience.
Brain and Behavior Research Foundation: The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation awards grants that will lead to advances and breakthroughs in scientific research with the purpose alleviating the hardships caused by mental illness.
