NOTES FROM THE PRINCIPAL
As I sit down to pen this final note for the year, the view out my window certainly looks like summertime. This time of year always brings a mix of emotion for me: nostalgia, excitement, exhaustion, gratitude. No doubt you, as parents and families, have similar feelings. I know that for some of you, the end of this school year brings an end to your family’s time at the Middle School. For others, this might be the end of your eldest child’s first year. Regardless of where your family is on their journey, I hope that you look back on the year with fond memories and a feeling of accomplishment.
There is a lot happening over the next week. As you know, tomorrow is Activity Day and you should have received communication from your child’s teachers with the plan for the day. Our 8th graders have a number of special events next week, with their last day of school being June 8th. Our 6th and 7th graders come to school for a half day on June 9th, then the summer fun can begin! For our returning families, you may want to mark August 17th on your calendar, which is Registration Day. While we can take registration materials any day after that in the main office, you cannot submit materials before that day.
I continue to be so grateful to be a member of this school community. Thank you for all your support and encouragement throughout the year. See you in the fall!
