 Connects Before & After School Care
The Whitefish Bay School District offers on-site school-age care for children who are enrolled in K4 through 5th grades at either Richards or Cumberland Elementary Schools.
About Connects:
The Connects program was created to serve the Whitefish Bay community's families’ need for childcare during non-school hours. Our mission is to provide high-quality care in collaboration with parents and our school community.
With qualified caring staff, we aim to reinforce skills learned during the school day by providing a variety of academic and enrichment opportunities to enhance the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of all students. We believe that every student needs to experience a safe, caring, and inclusive environment that supports the development of the whole child, and of course, to have FUN!
Lottery Registration (2025-2026 School Year)
The 2025-2026 Connects Lottery Registration will begin on April 14th, 2025!
Lottery registration is used as a process for the Recreation and Community Education Department's most high-demand programming. Connects is a high-demand program. A lottery registration system allows all residents fair and equal access. On the pre-selected lottery processing date, participants will be randomly selected using a computer-generated software program. Lottery participants not selected will be placed on a waitlist in the order of the number they have been assigned.
How to Enroll
For the Lottery
To be eligible for the lottery, forms must be handed in person to the Lydell School & Community Center or submitted through the Google Form between April 14th - April 16th, 2025. Emailed forms will NOT be accepted. The lottery will be processed on April 17th. Enrollment forms received on or after April 17th will NOT be entered into the lottery and processed in the order in which they were received after the lottery results. Families will be notified whether their registration has been selected or placed on our waitlist no later than April 25th.
Enrollment forms must be filled out to their entirety including the Schedule Request Form (included in the registration packet) and must include the non-refundable enrollment fee ($25 per child/maximum $50 per family).
Enrollment forms may be picked up at Richards or Cumberland Schools, the Lydell School and Community Center, or downloaded from our website (www.wfbschools.com/community-recreation/) starting Tuesday, April 1st, 2025.
AFTER The Lottery
Please turn in a completed Enrollment Form with the $25.00 non-refundable enrollment fee to our main office or submit it through the Google Form. The Enrollment Form and the link to the Google Form can be found on the right-hand side of this page. There are physical copies of the Enrollment Form available at our office as well.
Once your Enrollment Form has been processed, you will be emailed your confirmed Connects schedule based on our care availability or if you have been placed on our waitlist.
