The Whitefish Bay Community Garden, originally established by a group of motivated high school students, is now under the management of the Whitefish Bay Recreation and Community Education Department. We are excited and proud to continue the tradition of providing organically grown fresh produce and flowers.
The Community Garden has not only grown fresh produce, but has also provided a strong sense of community for the volunteers of Whitefish Bay.
The Community Garden is looking for volunteers to maintain the garden, harvest the produce, and assist in seasonal clean-ups. Most importantly, volunteers will have the opportunity to take home fresh produce, herbs, and flowers.
The Community Garden is also looking for donations which are needed to support the cost of plants, tools, maintenance and coordination of the garden.
If you would like to get involved, fill out an enrollment form and return to WFB Recreation Department. Enrollment forms are found on the brochure and can also be found at the Recreation Department.
If you would like to sponsor the garden or donate non-monetary materials or have questions, contact Miriam Gerrietts, the Community Garden Coordinator at miriam.gerrietts@wfbschools.com.
Thanks for helping our community grow, in more ways than one!
