Making a Difference
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Whitefish Bay School District. We have many community members and parents who volunteer in our schools, positively impacting the education of our students. When you become a volunteer you will be providing valuable supplemental support to teachers, coaches, and students. If you need help finding a volunteer opportunity please contact the school directly.
To ensure the safety of our students, staff, and volunteers, there are a few steps to complete before beginning your service. Please refer to the steps below and FAQ's to help you complete the process.
Becoming a Volunteer
Step 1: Fill out a Volunteer Application. HR will then reach out to you in order to complete the additional required paperwork/training. Please note that you do not need to print out any paperwork unless asked. Once you are approved you are able to volunteer in many roles at any building in the District for the current school year!
Step 2: Wait for an email from HR. Depending on your volunteer level you will need to complete different paperwork/training through Vector Solutions along with a background check.
Volunteer Expectations
As a volunteer, you are requested to be aware and agree to the required expectations and responsibilities on confidentiality, inclusion of all, and safety, which are consistent with those for all District employees. Acceptance of volunteers is at the discretion of the District and based on the following:
- Positive Background Check
- Volunteer Application
- Completion of online paperwork/training
- Positive Role Model
- Enthusiasm for working with children
