Whitefish Bay Middle School
Middle School marks a time of transition in personal and social development for your child. Our Middle School counselors help students navigate the various personal/social issues that are unique to pre-adolescent and adolescent development, while honoring each student’s cultural and individual background. The services the counseling department provides focus on academic growth, personal/social issues, and career development. Our Middle School counselors support students through attending weekly team meetings, classroom developmental school counseling lessons, development of Academic and Career Planning (ACP) and individual and small group counseling. Additionally, counselors consult with parents and teachers to develop a partnership to serve the needs of your students. The classroom developmental school counseling lessons focus on stress and coping strategies, anti-bullying, career exploration, suicide and ATODA (alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse) prevention. During this time of tremendous transition and change, know that our counselors value their partnership with you and that they are a phone call or email away.
