Fun Lunch Tomorrow - Friday, December 14th!
Fun Lunch tomorrow is being catered by CPK. Each participating student will receive a pizza, mac n cheese, or a salad in addition to carrots, apple sauce, a Rice Krispie Treat or Oreos, and bottled water.
Don’t forget, CPK is continuing to generously offer a free meal to Richards students when they dine-in with their family! Students who participate in the Fun Lunch program will receive a free kid’s meal when their family is dining. A raffle ticket will be given to each dining student for a chance to win an embroidered chef coat! Raffle tickets will be randomly selected and chef coats will be presented at Fun Lunch. Students that wear their chef coat to CPK will be allowed to make their own pizza! Please note: Only students dining with their families will be discounted and an adult entrée must be purchased for every kid’s meal. This offer is not valid with any other offers or discounts (including CPK Rewards Program), and is not valid to groups or sports teams.
Please contact Moria Leonhardt (moleonhardt@wi.rr.com) or Amy Mulcahy (amymulcahy13@yahoo.com) with any questions, comments, or concerns.
Box Tops for Education: An Important Piece of the Overall PTO Annual Budget!
Our first submission of the year was a success, however our collection total for the Fall was down from the past couple of years. If you haven't done so yet, please consider joining in our efforts to earn 'free' money for our classrooms. It really is easy! It's not about buying extra products containing a box top, but rather taking advantage of those you already routinely purchase, and taking those extra seconds to clip the box top. Also, if you don't have time to complete a collection sheet, no problem...just toss them in a ziploc bag. All box tops can be sent in with your child or placed in the bin outside the office.
After the holiday break, start watching for info regarding our special Spring classroom contest collection! We've done this in the past, and it's a lot of fun for the students! In addition, we're working on a new collection receptacle for outside the office! Questions, please contact Kristin Pavlik at lafond19@yahoo.com or Lindy Utley at lindy.utley@yahoo.com. Thank you and happy clipping!
AmazonSmile When You Are Shopping This Holiday Season!
Do you want an easy way to help support the Richards PTO? When you are shopping at Amazon this holiday season, don't forget to shop through AmazonSmile. You can designate Richards School PTO as your charity and shop as you normally would on Amazon through the AmazonSmile site https://smile.amazon.com. Amazon will donate a small percentage of your purchase to the Richards PTO. Every little bit adds up and enables us to put more money back into Richards! Happy shopping!
High Interest Day: Committee Members Needed!
The Richards PTO is currently looking for a few more volunteers to form a committee for a new, fun student event we will be holding this Spring at Richards - High Interest Day!
High Interest Day (HID) is a half school day event where all students will be able to explore different careers, hobbies and activities in a hands-on environment under the direction of professional and volunteer presenters.
We need a handful of parent volunteers to form the HID Planning Committee so we can kick of the planning right after the new year. If you are interested in joining the planning committee, please email Sarah Nowak at sarahzirbelnowak@gmail.com. Thank you!
Save the Date for the Richards Night at the Admirals Game!
Richards Night at the Admirals Game will take place this year on Friday, February 1st. Tickets will go on-sale after the new year but make sure to mark your calendar now!
