Instructional Resource Coordinator Email Phone: 414-963-6800 x4104 I joined the Whitefish Bay School District in 2010 in the capacity of reading intervention and literature. After receiving my Masters Degree in Teaching from Cardinal Stritch University, I ventured into a new opportunity of instructional coaching. Prior to education, I worked in Marketing and Business Development in Aviation and Publishing industries. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh with an emphasis in Graphic Communications.
As an instructional coach, I support our 6-8 staff with resources, co-planning, coaching, co-teaching and mentoring to best support the diverse needs of our students. Evolving instruction to expand best practices, include learning theory and address brain development has led to significant shifts in the way we serve our students and overall improved student learning.
I work with all staff to ensure that all students, from our Talent Development initiative to students in need of intensive supports, are appropriately identified and serviced over the course of their academic career at the middle school. To offer a seamless transition K-12, I work with staff during critical shifts from elementary to middle and middle to high school.
Throughout my career, I have embraced working with students and staff to achieve academic and personal goals. A large factor contributing to this success is the development of strong relationships built on trust, respect, and understanding - driven and supported by open dialog. I believe that teaching is a privilege with great responsibility that provides an opportunity to inspire, empower, and engage students in their learning. I am a coach that fosters connections, endorses the power of mistakes, and strives to inspire.
