Aviation Club (Grades 6-8th)
About the Club Meeting Time: Most Fridays after school 3:20-4:15ish in Mr. Reynolds’s room. Focus: Students will learn aviation principles and project fundamentals, while building and launching rockets that range from 6 to 14 feet tall and can reach altitudes of up to 5,000 feet! Capstone Event: Participation in the Rockets for Schools program on May 8–9, 2025 at the Blue Harbor Resort in Sheboygan, WI. This event includes educational presentations, an astronaut speaker, and launching/retrieving rockets from Lake Michigan. (Participation and overnight stay are optional, but highly encouraged!) Key Highlights Hands-On Experience: Building large-scale rockets, learning STEM fundamentals, and presenting projects. Exciting Events: Guest speakers, fun team-building activities, and real-world aerospace applications. Community & Support: A parent-run club where families play an active role in making the program successful.
