Six Flags® Read to Succeed
The Richards PTO is excited to announce that all Richards students are invited to participate in the optional Six Flags® Read to Succeed Six Hour Reading Club!
- Read to Succeed is a free program sponsored by Six Flags Theme Parks that encourages elementary school aged students to read for fun.
- Every student who completes six hours of recreational reading before the school’s deadline (January 31, 2019) is eligible for a free admission ticket, valid at Six Flags Great America Theme Park in Gurnee, IL.
Don't forget to have your child keep track of their reading time on their log! If you did not receive or misplaced your reading log or would like more information, visit the PTO website or see the link below.
Lego Club...K5...You're Up Next!
The registration deadline for K5 Lego Club is January 2, 2019. K5 Lego Club dates are: January 9, January 16, January 23 and January 30.
Lego Club is an extracurricular activity run by the Richards PTO. The club is open to students in grades K5 through 5th grade. Lego Club meets on Wednesday afternoons from 3:05 to 4:00 in Room 5. Students will be dismissed from their classrooms to Lego Club. Unless prior arrangements are made, parents are expected to pick their child up from Lego Club at 4:00. Room 5 is located on the bottom floor of Richards on the Great Hall side of the building. Please enter the school though the office, and use the stairwell across the hall and to the left of the office. When you get to the bottom of the stairs, turn right. Room 5 is on the left-hand side of the hall after the bank of lockers.
